Preparing the set for Children's TV show

These are a few photos from our TV production we are currently working on at the University. The pictures show the set we are trying to create, we first of all cut out lots of different shapes to create a silhouette background of a midnight forest, these included branch shapes, stars, trees. With the shapes, we are sticking these behind to create this silhouette effect, then we are going to use a purple gel to give it a bit of colour.

Sherlock Holmes 2 Set

At my University they were filming the Sherlock Holmes 2 film earlier on in the year but i was lucky enough to see it, but these pictures are what i took when they came back just last week to reshoot some shots. It was my first real taste of a film set of such big size and showed the amount of people and effort needed to create a big blockbuster movie. In the pictures there are some of the set, cast and also Guy Ritchie, Robert Downey Junior and also Jude Law!!

The Unseen Campus

A first little assignment which involved me going around my uni's campus and take pictures of things that i feel may go unnoticed or even taken in a way that is unique and different. I chose this picture to talk about because i feel that it is nicely placed on the grass on a slight angle focusing on the statue. Another reason is the effect that is shown in the picture, i used depth of field to create a blur on part of the photo, this used on the grains of grass, then with the focus of the camera i focused this on the statue. I like this photo because i feel that it is unique from a normal photo of how it would normally be taken and also the way everything is placed in the frame such as the statue being centre to frame and the grass close to the camera to emphasise its positioning.

Back To The Future- Spoof

For my sixth form we were asked to re-create a scene from a famous film in the 1980's, therefore we chose to make back to the future car chase scene. With no budget and we used props found in the storage room, and also lots of tape.

Digi-Pack

As part of promoting my groups music video we had to create a digi-pack. I decided to follow the continuity of the poster as i chose to use the same design on the poster on the front of the CD cover, then on the other sides e.g inside and the back of the cover, i chose to use the same colours of red, yellow and orange colours thus following the theme of volcano/ lava (DJ Magma), this was so the audience can identify and link both the poster and digi-pack together them to one another.

DJ Magma Poster

This is a poster i had to create for promoting my artist DJ Magma. The idea of using the volcano was a play on the artists name Magma, and also the disco ball behind is to indicate that he is a DJ. To create this poster i used Adobe Photoshop.

London Eye Time-lapse

Big Ben clock face

Merry Go-Round

This is a merry go-round in London, i chose to film this along with my group because of the bright vibrant colours it had.

Westminster Time-Lapse

This is a time-lapse of Westminster bridge in London. I decided to do a time-lapse of the bridge because it is always busy with commuters, therefore having a lot of movement to watch.
